1. Who we are

Pillar Studios ("Pillar", "we") is a company that builds and hosts professional websites for Brazilian contractors operating in the United States. We operate from Brazil.

This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our services or interact with our websites — including the pillarstudios.us domain and the websites we build for our clients.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to deliver and maintain your website. Specifically:

Identification data

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone / WhatsApp number
• Company name
• Instagram handle (optional)

Business data

• Industry/services you provide
• Service area
• Photos of completed work (uploaded by you)
• Logo, testimonials, and any other materials you send us

Technical data

• IP address, browser type, and operating system (access logs, retained for up to 30 days)
• We do not use advertising tracking cookies
• We do not sell your data to third parties

3. How we use your information

• Build your site: we use your name, photos, logo, and contact data to create and customize your professional website.
• Communication: contact you via WhatsApp or email to confirm the briefing, share previews, process payment, and provide support.
• Hosting: keep your site live and functional.
• Lead delivery: the contact forms on the websites we build for you send leads directly to YOUR email — we do not actively access them (they pass through our server only to be forwarded).
• Recurring billing: process your subscription via the payment platform (Whop).

4. Where your data is stored

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate our infrastructure:

• Cloudflare (USA) — site hosting and form processing
• Resend (USA) — transactional email delivery
• Whop (USA) — recurring payment processing
• Kommo (USA) — customer relationship management (CRM) and WhatsApp integration

Each of these partners has its own privacy policy and complies with international security standards (encryption in transit and at rest).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

We share only what is strictly necessary with:

• Payment processors (Whop) for subscription billing
• The infrastructure services listed above (Cloudflare, Resend, Kommo)
• Government authorities when required by law

6. Your rights

Under Brazilian data protection law (LGPD — Law 13.709/2018) and international best practices, you have the right to:

• Access: know what data we hold about you
• Correction: correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data
• Deletion: request deletion of your personal data (when there is no legal obligation to retain it)
• Portability: receive your data in a structured format
• Revoke consent: at any time, without prejudice to the legality of prior processing
• Object: object to data processing in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, simply email us — we respond within 15 days.

7. Data retention

• While you are an active client: we retain your data throughout the duration of the contract.
• After cancellation: we keep a backup of your site for 90 days in case you want to reactivate. After that, files are permanently deleted.
• Tax and contract data: retained for the period required by Brazilian law (up to 5 years).
• Access logs: 30 days.

8. Security

We adopt reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. This includes:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) on all websites and forms
• Restricted access to credentials and API tokens
• Regular backups of your site files

However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. If you suspect a compromise, contact us immediately.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Pillar's websites and the websites we build for our clients do not use advertising tracking cookies, third-party pixels, or profiling tools.

We may use strictly technical cookies (session) when necessary for the site to function.

10. Minors

Our services are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we identify such collection, we will delete it immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or via a visible notice on the site, with at least 15 days' notice.

12. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in particular the LGPD. Disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Pillar Studios' domicile.
